RAMADAN 2023

Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, introspection and prayer for Muslims, the followers of Islam. It is celebrated as the month during which Prophet Muhammad PBUH received the initial revelations of the Quran, the holy book for Muslims. Fasting is one of the five fundamental principles of Islam. Each day during Ramadan, Muslims do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset. Join OUF in helping feed families this Ramadan.

Fitra

Fitra is a gift of an amount of wheat (as food) or equivalent money that is given to the poor or needy. It is obligatory upon every able muslim. Without giving this, their Eid is not complete.

Through One Ummah Foundation, you can donate $7 to cover Fitra and be ready for Eid al-Fitr.

A Time of Extreme Need Around the World

In the year 2020 alone, it was estimated that nearly 150 million people were pushed into extreme poverty due to COVID-19.

Currently, over 820 million people go to bed hungry every night.

From 2019 to 2020, the overall world death toll percentage rate increased almost .5%, which equals almost 340 million people, equivalent to just over the entire population of the United States.
