The world is witnessing a devastating humanitarian crisis in Gaza. One Ummah Foundation calls for your support to help our brothers and sisters in this difficult time. Alhamdulillah, we have the network to send help to Gaza. OUF has confirmed on-ground support and organizations in Gaza that we can directly work with, they are vetted through USAID. We need your support to ensure we can provide the basic necessities that our brothers and sisters need.
Tragically, more than 2,750 individuals have lost their lives due to Israeli strikes, and a quarter of them are innocent children. Over 10,000 of our brothers and sisters are wounded, with over 1,000 more missing or displaced. In U.N. facilities, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are surviving on less than one liter of water per day. Israel's recent actions have forced many Palestinians to evacuate from Gaza, and most have sought refuge in Khan Younis in the south. The southern city's population has surged from 400,000 to over a million, leaving countless people homeless, sleeping on the streets, and struggling to access necessities like food, water, and shelter.
In these times, we are reminded of the wisdom of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who said, 'The believers in their mutual kindness, compassion, and sympathy are just like one body. When one of the limbs suffers, the whole body responds to it with wakefulness and fever.' Just as our body’s health is affected when one part is in pain, the welfare of our Ummah is connected. The suffering of our brothers and sisters in Gaza is our shared pain, and it is our collective responsibility to respond with kindness and support.
