On May 11, 2025, a meaningful initiative began in Nugaal, Somalia, focused on providing immediate relief to families facing severe food insecurity. This effort is fully funded by One Ummah Foundation, is being implemented by the Humanitarian African Relief Organization (HARO), an organization known for its hands-on experience serving vulnerable communities across Africa.

In regions like Nugaal, years of drought, economic instability, and displacement have left thousands of people struggling to meet their basic needs. Access to food remains a serious challenge for many families, especially those with children. Recognizing this urgent need, One Ummah Foundation has stepped in to help.

Why This Matters

Food insecurity in Somalia is a humanitarian crisis that continues to grow. Many families wake up each day unsure of how they will feed their children. The lack of consistent access to food leads to malnutrition, stunted growth in children, poor health outcomes, and missed opportunities for education and work.
