Friends of Indus Hospital, FOIH, is a US-based 501(c)(3) charity with a mission to support the efforts of the Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) in providing quality healthcare services to patients in Pakistan.

More than 55 million people in Pakistan live below the poverty line, with limited or no access to basic healthcare. This is why Indus Hospital is committed to making healthcare accessible at no cost at all for everyone. Their mission is simple, that healthcare is a fundamental right that should be accessible to everyone. What started as a 150-bed tertiary care hospital in Karachi in 2007 has since grown into a network that encompasses multiple tertiary and secondary care hospitals, Physical Rehabilitation Centers, Regional Blood Centers, Community Health Centers, and various Public Health programs throughout Pakistan.

Friends of Indus Hospital acts like a bridge between compassionate people in the USA, including American Pakistanis, and the healthcare needs of underprivileged patients in Pakistan. Their goal is to ensure that vulnerable people in Pakistan have access to the healthcare they truly need. Beyond fundraising, FOIH also strives to transform the way healthcare is provided in Pakistan, aiming for a better and more inclusive healthcare system.

One Ummah is working with Indus Hospital and plans to build two clinics in Pakistan over the next year. Like Indus Hospital, One UMMAH wants to change the healthcare narrative and provide the resources and skills needed to build a healthy future for the underprivileged.
