Malawi Boreholes Bring Clean Water to Villages
Clean Water Support in Malawi
One Ummah Foundation continues to support communities in Malawi through projects that provide both immediate relief and long-term benefit. Recently, OUF volunteers have been involved in borehole construction in Dumu Village and Khakhande Village, where One Ummah Foundation is also constructing masajid.
These boreholes are part of OUF’s wider clean water efforts in Malawi. Over time, One Ummah Foundation has helped construct many boreholes in different areas, giving families easier access to one of life’s most essential needs: clean water.
Recent Borehole in Dumu Village

In Dumu Village, OUF volunteers are working on a masjid construction project while also supporting borehole development in the area. Access to clean water can make a major difference for families who rely on water for drinking, cooking, washing, and daily household needs.
For many rural communities, collecting water can be a difficult and time-consuming task. A borehole helps reduce this burden by bringing a more reliable water source closer to the people who need it most.
Recent Borehole in Khakhande Village

Another recent borehole project was also carried out in Khakhande Village, where One Ummah Foundation is constructing a masjid as well. This reflects OUF’s ongoing commitment to serving communities through practical and faith-based projects.
A borehole does more than provide water. It helps improve hygiene, supports family life, and brings relief to children, elders, and households who depend on safe water every day.
Many OUF Projects Are Ongoing in Malawi
One Ummah Foundation has many projects currently taking place in Malawi, including masjid construction and borehole development. These projects are helping communities gain access to essential services while also creating spaces for worship, learning, and unity.
The work in Dumu Village and Khakhande Village is part of a larger mission to serve vulnerable communities with dignity and compassion. Whether through clean water, masjid construction, food support, or emergency relief, OUF continues to focus on projects that bring lasting benefit.
Masjid Construction Alongside Water Projects
Along with recent borehole construction, One Ummah Foundation volunteers are also working on masjid construction in Dumu Village and Khakhande Village. These masajid will provide local communities with dedicated places for salah, Qur’an learning, Islamic education, and community gatherings.
A masjid is more than a building. It is a center of faith, unity, and guidance. By supporting masjid construction in Malawi, OUF is helping create spaces that can benefit families, children, and future generations for years to come.
A Lasting Form of Sadaqah Jariyah
Boreholes and masajid are beautiful forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. Every drop of water used and every prayer offered can become a source of ongoing reward for the donors who made these projects possible.
May Allah reward every donor, volunteer, and supporter involved in these efforts. May He bless the people of Dumu Village, Khakhande Village, and all communities benefiting from OUF’s work in Malawi.
