Standing With Vulnerable Families in Peshawar

One Ummah Foundation continues its commitment to supporting vulnerable families through sustained care and presence on the ground. In Peshawar and surrounding districts, many households face daily challenges linked to disability, poverty, age, and limited access to resources. OUF special projects focus on meeting these needs with dignity, consistency, and compassion.

Supporting Families With Special Needs Children

Currently, One Ummah Foundation supports 35 to 40 families caring for multiple children with special needs. These families are spread across Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshehra, Mardan, and Swabi. Many live in rural or semi rural areas where awareness and medical guidance are limited. In several cases, children face ongoing health challenges due to weak immunity, leading to frequent illness and medical needs.

OUF provides monthly financial support ranging from 20,000 to 25,000 to each family. This assistance helps cover essential expenses such as medicines, food, diapers, and basic care items. For parents already stretched physically and emotionally, this consistent support offers stability and relief while they focus on caring for their children.

Housing Support for Special Needs Families

Over the past six months, One Ummah Foundation has built and renovated homes for 10 families caring for children with special needs. Many of these households were living in unsafe or damaged structures, while others were struggling with rental payments and utility bills. Due to medical responsibilities, parents are often unable to maintain their homes or earn stable income.

OUF stepped in to repair, rebuild, and improve living conditions so families could have safe and dignified shelter. In cases where families live in rented homes, limited assistance has also been provided to help with rent and essential bills within available resources.

Supporting Elderly Street Workers

Alongside family focused support, One Ummah Foundation also assists elderly laborers who sell vegetables and fruits on streets and roads. These senior citizens work long hours to support themselves and their families despite declining health and strength.

OUF distributes food items such as wheat, rice, milk, and basic staples directly to elderly workers in Peshawar, Charsadda, and Nowshehra. These distributions are carried out on streets and public areas, reaching individuals who may otherwise remain unseen and unsupported.

Whether supporting families with special needs children, helping rebuild homes, or providing food to elderly workers, OUF remains focused on restoring dignity and easing daily hardship.
