Rashan for Orphans & Villages in Windows of the World

In a heartfelt act of compassion and community support, One Ummah Foundation recently prepared and distributed 117 ration packages to help orphan and disabled families in Windows of the World (Swat). This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that vulnerable communities have access to essential food supplies, especially in challenging times.

Each ration package was carefully put together to provide nutritional balance and meet the basic food needs of a family. Every package contained:

  • 20 kg of Flour – to help families make bread and other staple meals.
  • 1 kg of Red Beans – a rich source of protein and essential nutrients.
  • 1 kg of Cooking Oil (Ghee) – for daily cooking needs and energy.

The thoughtful selection of these items aimed to provide both sustenance and comfort, ensuring that families could prepare healthy meals without worrying about their immediate food needs.

Out of the 117 packages, 57 were distributed to orphan families at One Ummah School. These families are part of our educational and welfare program, and we recognize that alongside education, meeting their nutritional needs is crucial for the children’s growth and well-being.

The remaining 60 packages were distributed among orphan and disabled families across nearby villages in Windows of the World:

  • Salanda Village – 20 packages
  • Kabal Village – 20 packages
  • Ingorderai Village – 15 packages

Our dedicated team worked tirelessly to reach each family, ensuring that no one in need was left out. The process involved traveling to these villages, meeting with community members, and personally handing over the ration packages to the recipients.

The smiles, gratitude, and heartfelt prayers we received in return were a powerful reminder of why this work matters. For many families, these packages not only provided meals but also brought a sense of relief, dignity, and hope.

This campaign would not have been possible without the generous contributions of our supporters and volunteers who worked tirelessly to prepare and deliver the rashan packages. Every act, from donating funds to packing flour, beans, and oil, played a role in making this distribution successful.

As we look ahead, One Ummah Foundation remains committed to expanding our outreach and continuing to support the most vulnerable members of society. Through sustained efforts in education, welfare, and emergency relief, we aim to build stronger, more self-sufficient communities in Windows of the World and beyond.

Together, we can ensure that no family goes to bed hungry and that every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy, educated, and full of hope.
