Salary Support for Alimaat in Shams Peer by One Ummah

In line with its commitment to supporting faith-based education and empowering those who serve communities through knowledge and compassion, One Ummah Foundation facilitated a salary distribution initiative for Alimaat (female Islamic scholars) in the region of Shams Peer.

This effort aims to recognize the often underappreciated role of women scholars in Islamic education and to provide them with financial stability as they continue to teach, mentor, and uplift others through their work.

Honoring the Role of Alimaat in Society

Alimaat play a vital role in spiritual and educational leadership within their communities. They are educators, advisors, and role models for young girls and women seeking to deepen their religious knowledge and apply Islamic values in daily life. Despite their significant contributions, many female scholars operate with limited resources, often in informal settings and without consistent institutional support.

Recognizing this, One Ummah Foundation undertook the initiative to provide direct salary support, ensuring these scholars are not only acknowledged but also sustained in their important work.

Shams Peer: A Community of Need and Potential

Located in a modest and underserved area, Shams Peer is home to families that rely heavily on local madrasahs and religious institutions for both education and moral guidance. Many of the women teaching in these institutions do so with great commitment but with minimal financial compensation.

Through this salary distribution effort, One Ummah Foundation helped ease financial burdens while enabling these women to continue their teaching without interruption. This support also contributes to household stability and encourages the continuity of religious education within the community.

Promoting Dignity and Continuity

The salaries were distributed in a respectful and organized manner, preserving the dignity of all recipients. Each Alimah was selected based on her active involvement in teaching and community engagement, with a focus on those facing economic hardship.

This initiative is more than financial assistance, it is an investment in a legacy of knowledge, values, and service. By empowering women scholars, we invest in generations of students and families who benefit from their presence and guidance.

A Step Toward Sustainable Impact

One Ummah Foundation views this distribution as a part of its broader goal: to create sustainable impact in education, healthcare, and spiritual development. The Foundation plans to continue supporting Alimaat and community teachers in remote areas, ensuring that their service is recognized and that their institutions are strengthened.

Call to Action

We believe every act of charity should be rooted in sustainability and respect. Supporting Alimaat is a direct way to strengthen communities from within by empowering those who preserve and pass on knowledge.
